Bloomberg New Energy Finance Summit 2012
Earlier this month around 500 of the world's top decision makers convened at the Bloomberg New Energy Finance Summit 2012. An important event for the green economy, the summit is designed to encourage growth and robustness in an industry which is already developing at an exponential rate. Currently in it's fifth year the summit is strategically relevant to a future forward trajectory that addresses sustainable development in the decades to come. The summit annually awards what it terms as New Energy Pioneers, recognizing innovation in the field of clean technology. This year the ten pioneers come from the fields of: bioenergy, electric transportation, energy storage, smart grid and smart metering, solar, and water sectors. The summit includes: keynote addresses, CEO and CTO sit-downs, plenary sessions, strategy breakfasts and breakout discussions. A detailed report on the 212 Summit will be released in May.
